Create a layout that will easily fit into future trends
Smuw, as a digital design agency is non-stop observed by competition and has to be keen on current and future trends, every single day in the year. The main problem here is that always they have much to do with their clients, forgetting about their portfolio from time to time. Being an agency and being able to have an updated, fresh portfolio is the most difficult task to nail. That's why I suggested an atomic design system and methodology around it to speed up the maintenance around their website and online presence.
Atomic design at it's finest. Also clean as a whistle
The atomic design fits the best in clean layouts, with a lot of white space, proper margins, etc. That's why new smuw.org has a minimalistic layout, with bold typography, a lot of animations to make it a little bit more complex than it is and some unusual UI solutions for A/B tests. To sum it up - that's why there's a lot of future-proof potential in this kind of project. When you know from the beginning how you want to work and deliver, the rest of the journey is just a bunch of really easy and quite pleasant tasks to complete. Check the website live - there's a lot of fun things to watch for. E.g.: animated gradients in the footer, few glitches here and there, and a lot more.
